One notable example is the clothing drive, which collects all sorts of clothing for children and adults. Many volunteers from Anew Church in Gainesville collaborated to distribute clothing to those in need, ensuring no one in Ozark County faces this current season without proper clothing. There was one at Pontiac Cove Marina in 2022 and now on August 8, 2026 at noon, we have another community baptism. All are welcome to bring a dish or desert or drinks. Bring a chair, towel and dry cloths especially if your getting baptized. All Pastors are welcome to bring their crew that wants to be baptized. Want to re-dedicate or be baptized following a recent salvation. Come join us at the Pontiac Lake as we rejoice with our brothers and sisters!

Vacation Bible School: Teaching and Fun for All Ages

Vacation Bible School (VBS) is a highlight for children and families each year. These programs combine learning about biblical stories with games, crafts, and music. VBS creates a safe, fun environment where children can explore faith and build friendships. Impact Faith Church just had a wonderful VBS "Team Jesus; Run the race" that wa Monday through Thursday. Oh how greatful we are that our kids have places to hear about Jesus.

Churches in Ozark County often collaborate to offer VBS at different times during the summer, reaching more children and sharing resources. Parents appreciate the positive influence VBS has on their kids, noting improvements in kindness, understanding, and community awareness. What a joy it is to hear the kiddoes talking about Jesus and wittnessing to their friends at school!

Sunday Church Services: The Weekly Gathering Point

Sunday services remain the cornerstone of faith life in Ozark County. These gatherings provide spiritual nourishment and a chance to connect regularly. Services include worship, teaching, and opportunities to pray together. We will be sharing invitations from all over Ozark County for Sunday services and much more.

Beyond the spiritual benefits, Sunday church acts as a social hub. It’s where people celebrate milestones, support each other through challenges, and plan community activities. The consistency of weekly meetings helps maintain strong relationships and a shared sense of purpose. It gives us a chance to praise together, pray together and encourage one another in the word of God.

Something that people really love in the Ozark Communities are the Womens Prayer Breakfats and the Mens Prayer Breakfast's that take place monthly all year round. Men or women from all the churches come togetrher nd break bread, have speakers that share awesome messages and prayer. Truly a wonderful thing we can look forward to.

One of the most remarkable aspects of Ozark County’s faith community is its ability to inspire people regardless of their beliefs. Non-believers often attend events out of curiosity or to support friends and family. Many find themselves touched by the warmth and openness they experience. For instance, Unite the Light holds several events yearly as well as having a Hootin &Hollerin booth. These moments are for the saved and unsaved. The testimonies that come out of these gathering are truly amazing. God is on the move!

This openness helps break down barriers and fosters understanding. It shows that faith communities can be places of welcome and support for everyone, not just those who already believe. This inclusive spirit strengthens the social fabric of Ozark County. I don't know if anyone has seen one of the recent Ozark County times articles about a man name Micheal who made a public appology. He thanked the community for understanding and forgiving him after going through the process of healing and recovering from an addiction. He found Jesus and can now pray, praise & worship and fellowship with us. I mean, this guys testimony was phenomenal. He truly had been touched by Jesus, humbled and gratful for the chance to touch the community! Jesus did it and he will continue to do it, again and again.

Of course we would love for you to join THE OLD RUGGED CROSS family. We put these crosses in place to show the love of Jesus. We want our county to be touched and reminded of his great sacrifice.
